Dystopian virtual landscape featuring the photographic work of Lalie Sorbet in Secondlife

The Uzine, Artificial Intelligences

You can almost hear the “Bring it” challenge out loud when you share your art pieces in Secondlife. That’s because you’re not limited to showing your own work on real-life white gallery walls in a building you have to drive 30 minutes to get to, but showing them in context, within the virtual environment that surrounds them. You choose every aspect of the design that surrounds your art. This means you’re not just displaying your work, but also the limits of your own creativity. You control the color of the sky, night or day, buildings, or fields, and even the weather. To show your artwork in Secondlife means to “bring it” and when done right, you get an emotionally moving installation that tells a complete story.., as this one does.

This series is dedicated to the Gypsies whose story fascinates me.” – Lalie Sorbet

At The Uzine Gallery, Artificial Intelligences by French artist/photographer Lalie Sorbet, seamlessly weaves her bold photography into a landscape of cracks and discord. A broken dystopia covered in cold and drifting white snow. This series is dedicated to the Gypsies whose story fascinates her and each environmental element she has included adds to their stories, from all angles, making it a visual masterpiece.

The people along with her images are timeless.

Sorbet’s black and white images are arresting and as we look into these lined faces we get a sense of joy, hope, pain, and despair, but also the overall sense of endurance through hard times. The subjects of each piece endure even in the harshest reality, and they will continue to do so, the people along with her images are timeless.

Midjourney is particularly perfect for creating art in general and more specifically, dreamy art.

The photographs themselves are a collaboration between the creative imaginings of the artist and Midjourney, an AI (Artificial Intelligence) that is particularly perfect for creating art in general and more specifically, dreamy art. Giving the AI words; sentences, haikus, and poems, it then creates its own interpreted images. Lalie takes the results from her photography, words, and Midjourney, and reworks the image into her own unique vision resulting in original art pieces.

There are many layers to this talented artist. Check out the pictures below then take the taxi over to her Secondlife installation Artificial Intelligences. I promise you will be impressed.
